Compleet Feet Podiatry are offering emergency nail surgery clinics at the Alton and Westbourne podiatry clinics. The Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in a huge strain on local NHS Podiatry Services, with patients trying to access treatment for acute and chronic ingrown nails. Patients are placed on long waiting lists for nail surgery and prescribed unnecessary courses of antibiotics. Antibiotics will not cure a chronic ingrown nail. Over-prescribing of antibiotics will potentially lead to antibiotic resistance issues.

In a drive to help take pressure off the NHS and treat patients quickly, Compleet Feet are offering an emergency nail surgery service. Individuals who are struggling with painful ingrown nails are requested to ask their GPs or practice nurses for a referral to us. The referral is to confirm the presence of a symptomatic ingrown nail problem.

Once we have the referral we can book an appointment for nail surgery. We are significantly reducing the standard cost of nail surgery for patients requiring emergency treatment. All new patients will be required to fill in an online questionnaire prior to treatment and asked to send in good quality photographs. Patients will also receive a phone call to discuss their particular cases if there are any concerns.

Once a consultation process is satisfactorily completed an appointment for nail surgery will be booked. The surgery will be performed by a fully qualified HCPC podiatrist with extensive nail surgery experience. There will be no requirement to wait for more than 1 week.  Compleet Feet is an essential medical service and will be open during  national lock-downs. It is Covid secure and adheres to high levels of sanitisation and patient care.

Help us to help you, to get you pain free quickly and take strain off the NHS.
