Compleet Feet is stepping forward into 2023, with new enthusiasm and more complete treatments. It has always been Katrina Waller’s mission along with her business partner and husband Mark Jarrett to push podiatry forward to offer patient’s complete footcare solutions. Despite the economic downturn in the UK it is still important to keep positive and aim to push Compleet Feet in the right direction. We still rank no:1 as the UK’s Best Podiatry website. That takes considerable effort by Katrina and her team.
Our last big investment was to open up a new clinic in Westbourne, which ended up being just 2 weeks before the Covid lockdown. A time of great stress, but we got through it and continue to progress. Katrina wants to ensure those individuals who are suffering with lower limb foot related issues can find help without struggling and waiting on long NHS waiting lists. Never has the situation been more critical.
During the last 2 years we have been very fortunate to attract 3 HCPC podiatrists to join our team, with hopefully a 4th this year. Westbourne has now gone from offering just a couple of clinical days a week to 5. It takes patience and time to build-up clinical patient numbers and get the public vote of confidence. We recently got our 3rd Royal College of Podiatry practice re-accreditation for both clinics. This is not an easy task, as we have to demonstrate that we practice to a high standard of care to receive the seal of approval from the College. It means that patients can be reassured that they get a high level of care. Few UK clinics have practice accreditation.
To ensure we keep advancing our clinical practices Katrina keeps exploring and researching new treatment options to offer patients. Undergoing further extended scope of practice Katrina is able to direct and facilitate her team to advance their clinical practices. We are one of only a handful of UK clinics who offer specialist cushioning foot filler injections for painful feet. We also routinely surgically remove diseased and damaged nails. This is part of an advanced fungal nail treatment solution combined with Lunula laser therapy. Another one of our unique and very effective treatment solutions is to combine laser treatment with needling, for the most challenging of verruca infections.
Towards the end of 2022, Katrina developed the Hampshire Foot MSK Clinic. This is a dedicated musculoskeletal podiatry led service concentrating on lower limb foot related problems. We will now shortly be receiving a Podiatech Sidas orthotic manufacturing system for each clinic. This gives our specialist MSK podiatrists the opportunity and facility to manufacture patients prescriptive orthotics directly on day of biomechanical assessment. It is an investment in patients and our team which we feel will be worth the outlay. The Sidas orthotic solution will compliment our new Digitsole Gait Analysis system. It will be used along other treatment modalities like Shockwave therapy, low level pain lasers and corticosteroid injections.
2023 will be an exciting year to keep pushing Compleet Feet Podiatry ahead of the game, not just one step ahead, but many! Watch this space…
