The UK goes into lock-down Thursday 5th November until December 2nd 2020. This maybe extended, depending on the pandemic situation for longer. This does not affect Compleet Podiatry in Alton or Westbourne. We are an essential medical service and podiatrists are classified as keyworkers.
All pre-booked appointments carry on as normal and people can book for future podiatry treatment. Podiatry is a low risk medical profession and we take extra measures to keep the practice COVID secure. We work closely with the Department of Health and other governing bodies. Safe arrangements to reduce numbers entering in and out of our clinics have been in operation since April ’20. Strict screening protocols are in place and forehead temperatures taken on each visit.
The government is encouraging patients to attend their medical appointments as normal. Shielding is not mandatory in this lock-down If patients are unwell and feel too vulnerable to go out, appointments can be re-arranged for a later date and we can offer home-visits.
We will do our upmost best to help look after the health of the Nation’s feet. Healthy feet means you can get out and take daily exercise which is recommended for physical and mental well-being. We have a long challenging Winter to get through. Lets try and keep the spring in our step!
