Compleet Feet have been adhering to advice given by Public Health England , NHS Southern Health and our podiatry profession’s main governing body The College of Podiatry regarding treating patients and Covid-19. We have also been in discussion with other private practice clinics. The consensus of opinion is to continue treating patients, practicing high standards of care and due diligence, until advised otherwise.
Measures We Are Taking
- Increased sanitisation and cleaning e.g. cleaning between patients
- Wearing masks, gloves
- Offering patients antiseptic hand gels and wipes before and after treatments
- Removal of reading material
- Splitting up seating areas
- Keeping unnecessary patient contact to a minimum. N.B. nature of treatment means a safe distance is generally maintained
- Ensuring patients have personal space when sitting and moving around waiting area
- Keeping numbers of people to a minimum in clinical areas
- Advising patients not to bring in several members of their family
- All staff are keeping a close eye on their own health
- We have the right to politely refuse to treat any patient who we feel may be displaying symptoms
- Requesting patients to be mindful when not to attend, but also when they can
When Not to Attend Clinic
- If you exhibit any of the known Covid-19 symptoms e.g. fever, dry cough, flu like symptoms
- Have come into contact with anyone in the last 14 days who is exhibiting symptoms
- Have serious health concerns e.g. immuno-compromised, poorly controlled diabetes, respiratory conditions
Contingency Plans
- Endeavoring to remain open during pandemic until otherwise advised not to
- Offering local home-visits for the most vulnerable

- Sending out regular clinical updates
- Keeping record of patients who have had to cancelled to contact at a later date
Cancelling an Appointment
- Please give us good notice when possible if you are cancelling an appointment. This enables us to plan clinical days with staffing and resources
- Ideally email in cancellation requests so we can keep phone lines free
